One baby was strapped on my back as another crawled around in the playground. I spent 12 hours days over months of sanding, and taking wallpaper off, all while carrying one kid. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however we were a long way off. The project would require time, money and of course my favourite shopping experience to furnish this house. To keep my budget intact, I went with three of my boys to look for deals at estate sales. We used to go on a weekly basis of walking around auctions and garage sales on Saturday and Sunday as well as purchase various of old pieces and new created. My work days were spent in the driveway working on painting or sanding. It looked a bit similar to the following... Here is the place where my passion for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. No matter what, our house had already been furnished. I had a stand at the local market and also sold items there. Eventually, I had too many pieces to store in the room available. My house was transformed into a space in which I held open houses where up to 1,000 people could view items from the first floor, and then purchase the items. This is where my business Growing Days was born. Not only was my business flourishing, but I was also growing our sweet family as well. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own company and be a good mother. Growing Days just fit. Nora joined us in 2013 as our 4th baby. It was a great direction for my company, however, I needed a vacation. I took a break from making vintage furniture, and I slowed down my speed in order to stay at home and take care of the kids. That was exactly what i wanted. It wasn't until a couple of months that my phone began to call. The people who called me were asking for help with the interior decoration and remodeling. These were mostly customers who came to my open home to purchase furniture. It didn't seem long until I was managing a full-scale business for home improvement. I began by taking clients one by one in a manner that I could be at ease with. When you first spoke to me about your home remodeling business I laughed. It's fun to reflect to it.
